We are developing our urban environments into biodiverse, carbon neutral, places to grow.
Ryzome takes underutilized resources and transforms them into vibrant, life-affirming, spaces, features, and products that promote biodiversity, greenspace, and wellbeing.
Our Soil: Ryzome is developing the first post construction resource soil that can be used for urban agriculture. We are going to make urban agriculture less carbon intensive than traditional agricultural practices while simultaneously reducing the volume of resources that are re-directed to our landfills.
Our Gardens: Ryzome is developing a vertical soil garden that will be deployed as living walls, on major infrastructure, in apartments, balconies, and in corporate spaces.

We set a vision. Our vision is developing methodologies for urban space optimization and greening, resource re-use, and processing techniques that are founded in lessons of the natural world.
We are building meaningful products that are all grounded in circularity, reducing the flow of wasted resources to our landfills, improving access to greenery in public spaces and building foundational research to help shape policy and regulation.
Proactive planning, imaginative policy, and intersectional collaboration are key pathways to better quality of life for everyone.

Pollinator
The pollinator will not only look beautiful, but it will also support your local pollinator ecosystem (if installed outside) by offering flowers that are proven to attract friendlies like butterflies, bumblebees, hummingbirds, and hummingbird moths.
Pest Control
Deploy a garden that keeps the (un)friendlies, like wasps and hornets at bay. Filled with beautiful herbs like mint, lemonbalm, thyme and rosemary. Yes, you can eat it all, but then you’re the pest.
Harvest
